These Soba Surface Plates are made as per BS:817 Grade 3

Manufactured from high quality close grained cast iron - stress releived . They employ ribbing to increase the strength . The cast iron is stress releived to reduce stress in the metal in an effort to decrease the likelihood of the plate twisting or warping over time.

Cast iron surface plates are now frequently used on production floors for insepection and lay out work . The surface plates are hand Scrapped finished for High Degree of Flatness
