CTC1135 carbide cutting material combines a wear-resistant CVD coating and a heat-resistant core substrate to produce a highly tensue gradient peripheral zone with thickness of 20 µm for turning steel and stainless steel in the ISO P35 application field. This peripheral zone has a shock-absorbing effect and is able to withstand machining thrusts and pushes in turning hard materials in a particularly efficient way. The medium-temperature CVD multi-layer coating is the latest generation, making CTC1135 ideal for turning hard materials.
